There are plenty of sun beds for hire, showers and changing facilities but for toilets you must use the tavernas. Water sports are limited, mostly pedalos and canoes for hire and there are no shops. The deep beach is fairly exposed but there are trees at the back of the sands for natural shade. There is no public transport so you will need a car or bike to get around

The main beach is a long and deep strip of golden sand which shelves gently into the sea. Βecause currents are known to be strong, here children should be watched. Passing ships don't help as they often send big breakers crashing onto the shore. It has a blue flag. There are three tavernas and a beach bar for day trippers. Τhe sands are most occupied by families from the hotel complex. Over the bridge at the western end of the beach is a large lagoon and nature reserve so plenty of mosquitoes near the water. |
